LA QUETCH
La Quetch is an enchanting beach house set on a magnificent beach only ten metres from the sea, on a lagoon, which is protected by a coral reef. It looks on to the famed Tobago Cays and other islands in the vicinity. The house is set in a tropical garden of coconut palms and a variety of shrubs and plants. Other private houses are ranged along the beach, each inhabited for just a few weeks each year.
The main house: entrance, living area surrounded by windows with exquisite views of the sea, covered terrace and dining area protected from the sun and wind.
1 bedroom with sea view and ensuite bathroom, 1 bedroom with garden view and ensuite bathroom –
both are equipped with king size beds (accommodation for 4 guests)
A second, smaller house in the garden: 1 bedroom (2 single or 1 king size bed) 1 children’s room with bunk beds, a bathroom and covered terrace (accommodation for 2 adults and 2 children).
A charming and practical exterior shower, just steps from the beach, for rinsing the salt off.
How to get here by plane
Internationally: from France to Martinique or from North America and the UK to Barbados and Grenada
Regionally: flights from Caribbean gateways to Union Island (see Erika’s travel page for more information)
Locally: water taxi from Union to Palm – 15 minutes

Shopping/Provisioning
From Union Island, located 10 minutes away by boat, you can order from Captain Gourmet (specializing in French food products and wines) and other local supermarkets, either for pick up or delivery. You can order online from Captain Gourmet in advance (capgourmet@caribsurf.com) or by telephone (784) 458-8918. For fresh products daily, the housekeeper can carry items if you give her a list the day before.
Activities
Bathing in the azure sea – snorkeling is wonderful here – day sail trips around islands in the vicinity, lobster BBQs in the Tobago Cays, fishing with local fishermen or the possibility of chartering a yacht for a few days or longer, allowing you to share your time in the islands between sea and land. Check with Erika’s for bookings, schedules and prices.
La Quetch Rates
Main house (2 bedrooms) : US$360. per day
Including the 2nd, smaller house (1 bedroom and children’s bunk room): US$480 per day
Minimum rental period : 6 days
Housekeeper: US$20 per day except public holidays and Sundays, to be paid directly. Daily services include cleaning, laundry, dish washing. It should be noted that La Quetch is always rented with the housekeeper for 6 days per week. If a guest wishes to arrange for the housekeeper to work on Sundays or public holidays, he/she may negotiate this directly.
Return trip from Union to Palm: US$50 per person – through Palm Island Resort.
(Other arrangements can be made with local water taxis - may be less expensive)

A 50% deposit is required to confirm booking.
Our rates are based on payment by direct bank ‘wire’ transfer.
For credit card payments – Visa & Mastercard – please note there is a 5% surcharge on card payments. You can email &/or call us with your credit card details for security. Alternatively, for a wire transfer we will provide the necessary account details.
In the event of a cancellation up to two months prior to the rental we would refund all but 10% of the overall rental fee. The full payment is required 2 months prior to the rental. Within 2 months this is deemed non-refundable but at this stage we would be happy to credit the amount against a further booking for the same property. This credit must be used within a 2 year period.
Note: there is a French doctor, who is also an artist, living on Palm Island, in case of emergencies.
