RONDELEI
On Palm Island you will find sugar white sand beaches, an abundance of coconut palms, peace, tranquility and the perfect location for that relaxing getaway you have been promising yourself. Also on the island are an exclusive resort and a few select private houses scattered along the sun drenched shores. Located in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, in the Windward Islands of the Caribbean Sea, this special place is adjacent to Union Island, the gateway into which guests arrive from other lands by plane or yacht.
Description
Rondelei is one of the private houses on Palm Island. Situated right on the beach, it has been constructed as a perfect circle. Two spacious and well ventilated bedrooms, one with king size bed, the other with two singles, and each with large storage, dressing area and en suite bathroom afford comfort and privacy. It is ideal for a family or two couples.
Rondelei also boasts a large, well-equipped kitchen. Additional indoor space consists of dining and living areas, light and airy because of all the sliding patio doors and the very high ceiling. The magnificent views are visible from every window. This house is architecturally interesting, with the exposed rafters and high pinnacle in the centre of the circular construction. Outside is an immense terrace facing the beach and sea, outside shower for rinsing the salt off after sea bathing and a lovely desert-like garden full of tropical shrubs, flowers and coconut palms. Shopping/Provisioning
From Union Island, located 10 minutes away by boat, you can order from a variety of supermarkets. There is one specialty food shop where you can find European products. Erika’s will provide a list of contacts for suppliers.
Activities
Bathing in the azure sea – snorkeling is wonderful here – day sail trips around islands in the vicinity, lobster BBQs in the Tobago Cays, walking the sandy lanes of the island, lazing on the beach or your private terrace, fishing with local fishermen or the possibility of chartering a yacht for a few days or longer, allowing you to share your time in the islands between sea and land. Rondelei Rates
US$400. per day. December – May, US$320. per day, June - November
Minimum rental period: 6 days
Housekeeper is included in the above rates. She works daily, except public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays. Daily services include cleaning, laundry and dishwashing. The housekeeper can also carry some bare essentials over from Union Island in the mornings if you give her a list the day before.
Also included in the rate are a welcome basket of some basic food supplies, already stowed in the kitchen before your arrival. All linens – bed, bath and beach towels are included.

Contact us for information about the initial boat trip from Union to Palm Island. Additional boat trips from Union to Palm or back, from US$20 – Erika’s will provide contact information for water taxi operators.
A 50% deposit is required to confirm booking.
Our rates are based on payment by direct bank ‘wire’ transfer.
For credit card payments – Visa & Mastercard – please note there is a 5% surcharge on card payments. You can email &/or call us with your credit card details for security. Alternatively, for a wire transfer we will provide the necessary account details.
In the event of a cancellation up to two months prior to the rental we would refund all but 10% of the overall rental fee. The full payment is required 2 months prior to the rental. Within 2 months this is deemed non-refundable but at this stage we would be happy to credit the amount against a further booking for the same property. This credit must be used within a 2 year period.
Note : there is a French doctor, who is also an artist, living on Palm Island, in case of emergencies.
