St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a country. It is also a beautiful archipelago of islands in the south Eastern Caribbean, about 90 miles west of Barbados. The Grenadines are made up of some 32 islands and cays stretching south from St. Vincent, the "mainland". A few of the islands are inhabited, but many are simply bird sanctuaries and environmental sites. Union Island is the southernmost island of the Grenadines. You can fly into Union Island from the island of St. Vincent itself, or from Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, Martinique or Trinidad. From these locations there are many daily flights.
