Cavale Plan

The trips:
The cruising grounds for Jambalaya are the Windward and Leeward  Islands, ranging from Anguilla in the north to Grenada 500 miles to  the south, taking in such islands as Antigua, St. Kitts and Nevis,  Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the  Grenadines.

Jambalaya is based at the beautiful island of Petit St. Vincent,  which is at the heart of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Here, the islands of St. Vincent, Bequia, Mustique, the Tobago Cays,  Canouan, Mayreau, Union Island and Carriacou are no more than a half- day's sail apart, and Grenada is within easy reach. With regular  trade winds and with a beautiful island never far from sight, the  area offers some of the best blue water sailing to be found anywhere.

Cruises can be tailor made to any of the Windward and Leeward Islands.

Accommodation:
Jambalaya has a large triple (master) cabin, containing a double and  a single bed with ensuite head and shower.  Two more double cabins  sharing a head and shower comprise the rest of the guest cabins.   Crew accommodation and access are forward.

The well appointed and spacious galley is capable of serving up  superb meals, prepared by Jambalaya’s competent chef.

On deck, you will find comfortable spots on the wooden deck, shaded  by bimini and a sun awning, or in the hammock for relaxing, island- watching and sipping a cool drink.  Dining takes place in the large,  cushioned cockpit shaded by the bimini and in the dining area in the  main cabin.

The crew:
Jeff Stevens is the captain / owner of Jambalaya who hails from the  UK, having been brought up on another small island, the Isle of  Wight in England. His passion for all things maritime has taken him  to a life on board for the last 30 years; sailing as a charter  captain in the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas he has a wealth of  experience to share.  Jeff has sailed the Windward and Leeward islands over the last 16 years on a variety of vessels from a 103 foot Gaff Schooner to the locally well known Prout Catamaran, Friendship II.

His local knowledge of the islands and the waters is second to none and he will maximize your experience of the sailing, the anchorages and life ashore, the best diving and snorkelling spots and of course where the reefs are and where they are not!

Jambalaya is blessed with a great hostess/chef.  Jeff’s partner Ineke is from Holland.  Her personality as hostess and experience as a chef make her great to sail with.  She uses only the freshest products when cooking both local and international cuisine.

Tim as mate also has good sailing skills, a charming personality and the passion for fishing that keeps Jambalaya well provided with fresh fish on the table.
